INTRODUCTION
Are you looking for a Liverpool wedding photographer? Matthew has spent his entire life as an artist. Growing up in the UK, his family, who has a history of artistic talent, encouraged him to explore his creativity from an early age. As a result, he quickly developed a passion for photography, picking up his first film camera aged 5. After studying art, Matthew set his sights on travel and documentary photography.
In the 25 years that followed his formal art education, Matthew worked and photographed in over 45 countries worldwide. From photographing tall ships on the North Sea to the Jackaroos of the Australian South West to the Mahouts of Thailand, working with rescued Elephants.
His street and conservation documentary soon became his signature style. Beautifully editorial work, which portrays a real depth and meaning to the viewer. In 2008 Matthew & his wife Julia started dreaming about how they could bring this unique story-telling approach to weddings.
In 2009, the FITZPATRICKs made their dream of starting FITZPATRICK photography a reality. They have since documented the wedding stories of hundreds of amazing couples in the UK and abroad. Their love for wildlife conservation and exploration remains a shared passion.

Too often, couples regret feeling overly posed or awkward, their day photographed not captured, and apprehensive about their wedding photography.
Over ten years ago, we set out to challenge this, to put our couple's experience and the forefront of our wedding photography and what we created was truly magic!
The style of wedding photography we created was authentic and intentional. Neither pure documentary nor entirely staged, but a blend that captured our couples in spirit and essence. Light, when understood, and be used like an artist paints to create something magical, capturing reality but in a way you may never have seen before!

Fitzpatrick Photography came about from the idea of doing something different!
To move away from the traditionally uncomfortable, staged wedding photos we all know so well! Instead, we wanted to create memories, authentic, emotional and genuine mementoes of each day. To Photograph how we knew we would want to be photographed!
As a wedding and engagement photographer, Liverpool is almost unique in the number of locations & venues available to couples looking to create stunning memories and images.

7 years ago, we weren't simply wedding photographers. Instead, we were in your shoes, planning our wedding, counting down the days until February 14th, 2016 - the date we would say "I do". As the years and months leading up to our wedding date slipped by, the stress and excitement began to build. Like you, we researched, planned, and crossed our fingers that our dream wedding would come together just as planned. But, almost more than anything, we wanted to document our day so that the memories we have to look back on felt like "us." We wanted the memories and emotions to feel genuine, not staged, those fleeting moments captured, and to have something we could look back on forever! So, while searching for our dream wedding venue, we knew how we wanted to feel, if not where.
Ultimately we found our dream wedding venue Broadoaks Country House, a boutique luxury hotel close to Lake Windermere. With over a decade of weddings now behind us, we have compiled a list of our favourite venues in and around Liverpool to help you plan your ultimate dream wedding.
